Pehchaan The Street School is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation started in 2015 with the aim to provide quality education and opportunities to underprivileged students. Spread across Delhi-NCR, our goal has been to shape the students’ lives while providing them with resources for learning and creativity. This maximises the chances of the young minds getting a level playing field going forward in life.

The Need for Collaboration

With such a massive undertaking, public support becomes highly crucial. We at Pehchaan The Street School are fortunate enough to have a thriving and vibrant community by our side ready to do their part as and when required.

Recent weeks have been perfect examples of such engagements, with people from multiple backgrounds coming forward to lend a helping hand towards the initiative. The support has ranged from creative workshops to educational help, while providing nutritional care along the way.

These initiatives have brought immense joy to the children, and hence are worth taking a brief look at.

Inspiring Young Minds at the GTB Centre

Unnati Mishra, a former intern at Pehchaan Street School, decided to show her support towards the underprivileged children in a beautiful way. She and her family celebrated her niece’s birthday by hosting a heartwarming event for the children.

They distributed learning kits consisting of file folders, notebooks, registers, pens, and colour kits to the children. Apart from that, refreshments were provided for both students and volunteers to keep them energised.

The young generation was instilled with inspiration through a motivational session as well.

Rohini Centre Gets a Flow of Creativity

Jyoti Jain stepped up as a model citizen to organise the ‘Bedazzle’ Art Workshop for the students. A total of 30 students participated in the event, with them showcasing their creative flair by designing decorative keychains.

Cupcakes and biscuits were then distributed to the young artists as refreshments.

The Nutritional Drive at the IP Centre

Learning can only be beneficial if the students remain full of energy. NK Kitchen fulfilled this goal with their generous sponsorship of 150 sandwich and drink packages.

These refreshments worked in an excellent way to keep the students energised and ready to learn for the whole day.

We at Pehchaan The Street School would like to sincerely thank all our partners for their immense efforts in making sure that the young learners are well taken care of. Collaborations like these not only make the students happy, but also instil a sense of hope in them regarding the existence of good in society.

This goes a long way in shaping their perspective of the world, and ultimately returns as gratitude and contribution when these young minds grow up to become the ideal citizens.
